where i'm at

thank you all; these are tough days.
unexpected, shocking, and brutal.
re-opened fresh wounds of my mom passing as well.
there's a new bike in the garage.
arrived saturday at an inopportune time.
still sitting there unbuilt and waiting.
tweaked my back pretty good sunday morning.
missed work on monday, returned tuesday.
additional rest along with time off the bike required.
that is all.

dark morning commutes have been the norm.
dark evening commutes will resume next week
once the clocks are rolled back one hour.
at least i have window at work
to confirm the suns existence.
dyno lighting is always pondered this time of year...

frosty temps have arrived as well.
couple of sub-freezing morns had me recalling
which layer combos work well and which fail.
so far i've been overdressing but still
feeling too cool walking out the back door.
acclimation is a slow process.

there was no acclimation today though.
pouring rain and mid-forties where
your sucess depends how well you deal.
head down, high rpms, always working
to generate as much heat as possible.
not the most fun conditions.
but it can/will get worse as winter approaches.
