one year anniversary
last year this time i was laying in a hospital bed after getting broadsided by a car. glad this mornings ride went smoother. gotta admit though, there was a bit of paranoia this a.m. with hightened senses watching for the brand of asshole who disregards cyclists as pests. fuck you, i'm heading to work too. it's certainly not all roses riding everyday, but i'm not ready to give it up yet.

Damn just read through that story. How long was the heal time? Ive found myself proceeding a lot slower through the city these days after a few accidents. It can def be wild out there for us commuters, everyones in a rush... but glad your still at it.
took about 6 weeks for the rib to stop hurting. some days were fine, others i'd sneeze and it would pop out of place. sleeping on my stomach would cause me to wake in serious pain. i was still able to ride, though i took it easy.
eye brow was swollen for weeks, black eye lingered for a week, and undiagnosed broken nose was tender for weeks too. no fun but no long term repercussions either.
Glad to hear you're okay after a year. I was hit by a car three years ago this month in Wernersville. Fractured my T10 because some idiot kids tried to beat me to an intersection.
